Fight Back!

I admit that I am shook up. Tonight I saw White people and churches in a different light, a scary one.

I felt myself wondering what can I do with this anger and hurt about racism when people seem to be talking around race and then I remembered something pretty awesome:

  • Racism was constructed to divide us. (It is not naturally occurring but a relatively new technique that distracts the masses enough to continue being pawns of the wealthy.)
Institutions we trust work to convince us that we cannot trust one another or ourselves so that we keep trusting their architects and caretakers as they divide us with inequitable treatment which breeds hostility and validates violence.

When we seek out an enemy--one that is doing the most damage to Blacks, we will also find the one which is also doing the most damage to Whites, Latinos, Indigenous Americans, Asians and the entire human race, including every faith group and political party.

This same enemy will be foe to labor unions, the middle class, and the American dream itself. And is contaminating air and water to turn a profit off of our backs and at the expense of our health, the planet and all of our necessary resources!

Though we are mostly a literate nation, this enemy makes access to quality education a joke-making being educated well enough to be a good consumer the most accessible.

Many of the would be presidential candidates are accepting campaign donations from this enemy- Republican and Democrat alike. (Last I checked, only Bernie Sanders was not.)

Check out  ALEC, Koch Bros. for starters---Any corporation that opposes a living wage and labor unions is suspect because when we had those things we had a growing middle class instead of the diminishing one.

Wake up, ya'll. Our industries are moving out of our cities and towns already and the President and the Speaker of the House (who both are so often at odds) are poised to sign the Trans Pacific Partnership, an agreement that will give corporations the power to move any obstacle in the way of the prosperity of a select few even if that means jobs overseas and human rights violations.

We have a lot on us and should be divided by a fabrication no more. If you aren't buying the divisiveness, good. We should not be divided. Confront the farce of race by condemning white supremacy and racially discriminatory practices in our schools, hospitals, government, justice system, media, etc. Seek the true enemies of all humanity and root them out of the foundations of our society.
